Fernwaters Public Charter School Art

The Salmon Arts Council will be assisting Fernwaters in their pilot program to offer after-school art programs for students. With art as an important part of the school’s charter, the school hopes to increase the variety of art opportunities they offer. This after school
programming will have tuition associated with it. The Arts Council, using a portion of the ICA grant funding, in addition to grant funds obtained by Fernwaters, will assist by providing funding to get the program up and running, help purchase art supplies and curriculum, and help keep the costs down for students.

Current Grant Funding

The Salmon Arts Council is very excited to have received over $9000 in grant funding from the Idaho Commission on the Arts, specifically for the purpose of providing art opportunities to children. A large part of this funding will be used in the 2024/2025 school year to provide art opportunities in the Salmon School District, at the Pioneer Elementary School and at Fernwaters Public Charter School.

Music Class

Touring Music Student Workshops

The Salmon Arts Council is dedicated to providing an exceptional education to the students of Salmon! As part of our commitment, we request all artists to conduct a student workshop at each public school. These workshops are jam-packed with exciting genres, including opera, pop, classical guitar, cello, piano, and theater. We believe that age-appropriate programming is the key to sparking inspiration and motivation in future generations. Let's ignite a passion for the arts in our community!

How Does Being a Member Support Our Kids?

We are pleased to inform you that your membership each season plays a crucial role in supporting all of our programing. It is worth noting that the majority of grant funding we receive requires a direct fundraising match, and your membership helps us to achieve those goals. As a non-profit organization, we strive to maximize every dollar that we receive and use it directly on our programming, including supplies, instructors, artist fees, and scholarships. We appreciate your support and thank you for being a supporter of the arts and our community.
